Overcoming Grief
Ways To Overcome Grief
People go through numerous problems during their life. Some find it easy to deal with difficult problems but others can’t cope with life-changing situations and many times end up getting depressed. When someone to you is very close to dying what is your initial feeling? Loss and grief, are strong feelings that many people experience, young or old alike.
Many people prefer to evade grieving because confronting and dealing with takes great resolve and determination. Keeping on grieving makes it more difficult to acknowledge. Sooner or later, you will have to deal with this problem.
Grief Leads to Lethargy
Are there effective ways to help people work through their grief? There are several options for an individual experiencing sorrow. You must know however, that grief can consume all your energy, leaving you feeling exhausted and drained. That is why you should continue all your daily activities and health routines.
It is normal to feel loss and grief when a loved one dies. When something or someone is lost, you feel space inside your heart; you may find yourself in tears and deeply sad. Mourning is also natural, but not everyone can easily and quickly come through this stage, to help them get through many seek some form of aid or support.
Many people hide their emotions, carrying on their daily lives outwardly appearing normal, that nothing’s wrong. This “masquerade” can make the person appear unfeeling and often leads to emotional distress over time.
Self-care
So, what can you do to go through grief? One thing that you can do is daily meditation.
First, you must remember to eat balanced meals regularly. Often, you may resort to eating too much or barely eating anything. Either way, your yoyo diet will eventually catch up with you and will have an impact on your health. Food eaten in excess, or insufficient can have an impact on your health.
Second, try to get plenty of rest and exercise regularly. Being restless is natural when you are sad or grieving.
Do things that you usually do like hanging out with friends, going to parties, doing chores at home, and other stuff that you used to enjoy before the grieving experience. Take time to enjoy life; you can occasionally forget about the loss.
You still have your life to live. Don’t focus on what you’ve lost, know that there will be better days ahead.
One of the most effective ways to deal with grief is through daily meditation — even if it is for only five minutes a day — be consistent and do it at the same time every day.
Last, prayer in any form, and yoga, can also help to heal your grief.

Meditation is a habit that may come easily to some. I have been meditating for over five years, but there were many days I found myself slipping. These days, not so much, not since I’ve printed out and put on my vision board over my desk these Positive Mindset graphics from Alice Seba at Publish for Prosperity. You can get these graphics at no cost here.
If you’re interested in revitalizing your life through meditation and would like to learn a virtually risk-free, and cost-effective practice, that people of all ages can do with a little patience and guidance and that will serve you for the rest of your life, I would love to connect with you.
