If You Find Yourself in a Hole…

Do This When You Find Yourself In A Hole

Recently, I learned that I will need cataract procedures in both eyes that cost me thousands of dollars, and after I will need reading glasses.

This, when I’m awaiting surgery for a fractured medial malleolus (ankle) all because after fixing a broken slat in my bedroom blinds, I jumped from the desk I was using as a ladder to the floor!

See how easy it is to find yourself in a hole…?

Then, my best friend called to let me know that she tested positive for COVID-19 — the last time we saw each other was two weeks ago. Her husband does not believe she has COVID even after she tested positive three times over five days, he believes she’s suffering a bad case of spring allergies which she has had in past years.

Now, she finds herself in a hole!

Everyone reaches an emotional, physical, spiritual, and/or financial low point at one time or another. However, it is important to realize that you are in a situation or style of life that needs changing. If your behavior in some regard is creating the opposite lifestyle from the dream world you desire, stop behaving in that manner. Sometimes it will require getting assistance from a trained professional, but if that is what you must do, then do so immediately.

When you find yourself in a hole, just stop digging, and begin to look for a way out. Chances are, you know exactly why you arrived where you are, and what you need to do to escape the situation.

Little Things Add Up

It’s amazing, really. The seemingly meaningless things you do for yourself may not have immediate results, but after just a short time they’ll have you looking and feeling better. So add those bubbles to your bath, make sure you eat your vegetables, get enough sleep, and think of doing something nice when you have nothing to do, and the results will be worth it.

Just Go

If you just can’t get rid of that cowlick in your hair, that pimple on your nose, or those extra three pounds from yesterday’s buffet, just throw some gel in your hair, conceal that pimple the best you can, and wear something that’s not too clingy. Move on regardless!

Appreciate

To get that attitude going the right way, you need to appreciate your face and body for what it is. It may be unrealistic to tell you to love it, but you certainly shouldn’t hate it. You definitely need to value what life has thrown you. That’s easier said than done in this society of model adulation and unrealistic standards.

I’ve been meditating for a few years, which never fails me when I find myself in a hole.

What counts is your frame of mind. Age, location, ethnic origin, gender, or any other individuality have absolutely no part in your attitude to achieving the dream world you desire!

I’d love to hear from you about how you “dug yourself out of the hole.”

“Feeling irritated, restless, afraid, and hopeless
is a reminder to listen more carefully.”

Meditation is a habit that may come easily to some. I have been meditating for over five years, but there were many days I found myself slipping. These days, not so much, not since I’ve printed out and put on my vision board over my desk these Positive Mindset graphics from Alice Seba at Publish for Prosperity. You can get these graphics at no cost here.

If you’re interested in revitalizing your life through meditation and would like to learn a virtually risk-free, and cost-effective practice, that people of all ages can do with a little patience and guidance and that will serve you for the rest of your life, I would love to connect with you. You can connect with me here.
